La Jolla Fashion Film Festival is the First International Fashion Film Festival Founded in North America.

It will, once again, be the world’s largest gathering of fashion film professionals.

The best of the international fashion film art movement brought to you in three completely different screening programs 8:00 – 10:00pm July 26, 27 & 28th 2012 in the world class theater at the Museum of Contemporary Art La Jolla. Each night consists of about 20 short films. Full schedule to be announced Spring of 2012.

A continuing tradition that brings together the creative professionals behind the worldwide fashion film art movement in an exciting, glamorous, and informative event that features world class films and fashion personalities. LJFFF #2 was the largest gathering of fashion film professionals in history. The number of filmmakers, thought leaders, and opinion makers planning on attending LJFFF #3 in 2012 has already exceeded 2011.

The Festival centers on a digital vision set in a world class coastal resort – utilizing exclusive screenings held in the center of the “Village”, fashion webcasts, seminars and panel discussions, film debuts, industry networking, deal making, after parties, and more.

Recognizing the emergence of the cinematic genre to the fashion world, LJFFF features productions from established and emerging fashion houses and film directors, using the film short as both an expression of art and as a way to introduce collections to the marketplace.

All events take place in and around La Jolla’s pristine coastline, parks, bays and famous Prospect Avenue, offering attendees a world-class seaside resort experience.

The LJFFF is designed to showcase the best in fashion films within the context of their creators. This unique programming provides attendees with an opportunity for high levels of engagement and understanding with the directors and their films. Curated from the time and space of this evolving and emerging art movement, the films presented during the LJFFF represent the classics and cutting-edge, the tense plots and art-based, the erotic and sobering, and, many more that defy definition.

All films and their creators will be featured on the Fashion Film Network’s digital stream both before, during, and after the Festival. This exposure will provide for a continuing discussion within the fashion film community giving viewers, directors, and creators insights into the creative process. In addition to being talked about in W Magazine, WWD, Vogue, and written up in numerous newspapers and magazines, the LJFFF has been a darling of the digital press including bloggers, news sites, and opinion makers.

The LJFFF will also continue it’s programming of seminar and panel based discussions including; how web tech trends are impacting the distribution and creation of fashion films, social planning for branding campaigns, and increasing distribution through thought leaders and influencers. More presentations are planned and will be announced as soon as available.

The much sought after parties and receptions will give attendees the chance to meet and mingle on a more casual basis with top professionals, actors, models, and industry representatives. Informal designer modeling and sidebar screenings add to the seaside resort setting.

Fashion cinema is revolutionizing fashion marketing, and LJFFF is at the cutting edge of it. The LJFFF combines cinema, social media, and fashion into one of the world’s premiere digital fashion events. Ultimately, the goal is to go beyond previous digital barriers and limitations to create new digital distribution channels, networks and markets for the benefit of both the designers and consumer.
