Gwen Lu is a Chinese model from Malaysia with high cheekbones and boyish cropped hair that sometimes turns blond. Gwen has worked in New York, Paris, Milan, Spain, Greece, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Her interest in photography was spurred by her extensive travels, which taught her about diverse cultures, people, and places. Using various plastic cameras and a 35mm SLR, Gwen takes pictures of everything from everyday scenes to extraordinary sights she comes across. Her work is inspired by photographers like Miroslav Tichý and Lisette Model. She also likes the music of CocoRosie and Antony and the Johnsons, the movies of David Lynch and Ingmar Bergman, and the writings of Haruki Murakami.
