Raffi Asdourian is a New York based filmmaker who works as a freelance TV/Commercial/Film editor in New York City in addition to writing for The Film Stage, a popular movie website. He has written five feature length screenplays and most recently completed a short film Ai, which was filmed in Japanese and has been featured in over 15 film festivals and won several awards. His film Kuragannon, a ten-minute short premiered in a Kodak sponsored student screened at the 2003 Cannes film festival.
YEKPARE (monolithic) is a greatly imaginative and inspiring art installation, which narrates the 8500 year story of Istanbul. The story embraces symbols from Pagans to Roman Empire, from Byzantine Empire to Latin Empire, and finally from Ottoman Empire to Istanbul at the present day.
The project was created by nerdworking, a team of Turkish artists, designers, and filmmakers. The team's aim is to create a new way of experience between man - machine - codes.
